Ema Plates are vital Character Upgrades in Silent Hill f, used at Hokora Shrines to permanently boost Hinako's Health, Stamina, and Sanity, as well as increase your Omamori slots. While you can find many Ema Plates in your first playthrough (NG), a significant number are only available in subsequent runs.
To fully maximize Hinako's potential—including reaching the maximum five Omamori slots—you must unlock the New Game Plus (NG+) and New Game Plus Plus (NG++) playthroughs. Here is everything you need to know:
This means you will need to complete the game a minimum of three times to acquire every single Ema Plate and achieve maximum stats.
While finding all 22 Ema Plates is essential for maximum power and tackling the Lost in the Fog difficulty, for the Close to the Sun achievement/trophy, you are only required to find 18 of the 22 total Ema Plates.
These late-game Ema Plates are typically found behind Inari-sama Doors and inside Inari-sama Boxes, which can only be opened after acquiring the Brooch and progressing into the New Game+ cycles.
The following table details the exact location for every exclusive Ema Plate (Character Upgrade) found in your New Game+ and New Game++ playthroughs, complete with direct links to our Silent Hill f interactive maps.
Note: The following list doesn't include the Ema plates you can find and collect during your first playthrough. For those, please check our Ema locations guide.
